Mike was born on August 10, 1965 to Don and Pat Hopkins. Michael has three siblings, Donny, Debbie, and Dewey. He married Kathy in the fall of 1990 on October 6th. In 1994, Mike and Kathy would give birth to their first son, Ryan followed by Tommy in 1998 and Ashlee in 2006. Mike spent his early days working at the Garden Deli, before taking a job with CBS News where he would spend 30+ years with the company. CBS brought him around the country and around the world. Our goal is to continually honor him in every way possible. The Hopkins family was very fortunate and welcomed Melina to the family in 2015 where she and Ryan began dating after meeting at St. John's University. Ryan and Melina would tie the knot in October of 2022. In 2018, the family would welcome Kayla. Tommy and Kayla met at Manhattanville College and got married in February of 2025. Ashlee is completing her first year as a Nursing Student at Adelphi University where she has obtained Dean's List for her first semester!
